Here is a video about creating a metallic sheen effect on objects in AD (it's a V1 vid but should still be followable).

Without an example of what you're going for, it's hard to tell how much will be involved. It may be as simple as adding a gradient or two, or involve clipping multiple layers into your main object to give it the texture that you want. Try following along with that vid to get an idea of how the effects work, and that may spark some ideas of how you want your piece to look.

All I did was used the styles that someone else spent time creating, so much easier than creating your own from scratch, if they already exist
