Affinity Photo: Seems like a small thing, but in my workflow, it's become a hassle to always have to push the buttons for the pen tool to:

1. Preserve selection when creating new curves

2. Add new curve to selected curves object

Is it possible to make these two options the default for the pen tool?

Have you had a look at the options in the Context Tool Bar (Above the work area.)

I don't think so. The buttons are "sticky" if enabled in the current document, but revert to disabled when creating new documents or saving, closing & reopening one where they last were enabled.

So sort of semi-sticky?

Not semi-sticky, but I want sticky! :)

I often work in different documents using the pen tool, and EVERY TIME I have to click on both buttons on the toolbar. EVERY TIME. And as soon as a work on a different document, repeat. The problem comes when I'm using the pen tool quickly, I forget to select both buttons and I have multiple curves. I usually trace with the pen tool, adjust the curves with the node tool and create a mask.

Workaround help?
What is the easiest way, to take multiple curves and make them into one curve before making them a mask?

Ideally, I just want to make the pen tool default to the options I want, not the options the developers have preprogrammed.

I don't see any options. The buttons I push are above the work area on the context tool bar. I want to change the default state on a couple of those buttons to enabled instead of not enabled by default. They stay enabled once pressed for the current document, but I often work in many documents in one session. It becomes a minor pain, especially when I forget to constantly press them in the new document.
