No spaces between words from imported pdf

I recently imported a pdf from Adobe Illustrator 29.1 with the text justified. Unfortunately, it appears that the text has no spaces between words and the spacing is set using tracking. I lost some time copying and pasting from the source pdf.

Many thanks, I'm observing the same issue, except without the relevant fonts installed the spacing interpreted by the app as tracking is worse. I've logged this with the developers.
