Chills Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Not sure if this is a bug report or feature request. I have previews visible on all my affinity files (Winn 11 23H2) but when I export A.Pub files as PDF's I can't get a preview. It is just the PDF symbol. Is there any way of fixing this? Staff NathanC Posted October 31, 2024 Staff Posted October 31, 2024 Hi @Chills, This has come up previously, we don't create embedded thumbnails for PDF documents, just native affinity files. We rely on the OS having built in support to preview that file type. This would be a feature request. On a personal note I tend to use Acrobat as my default file associations for opening PDFs for proofing etc. and right click > open with when I want to open the PDF in affinity. You can enable PDF previews in their settings. Chills 1 Quote
Chills Posted October 31, 2024 Author Posted October 31, 2024 Many thanks.... Don't I feel like an idiot! I have been using computers for about 50 years and I forgot to set the Preview flag in Acrobat! It's a newish computer, and I suppose the version of Acrobat installed did not default to thumbnails. That has solved my problem.
