InfoDA Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Hello Yesterday I saved my Affinity Publisher (v1.10.6) file, and now I am unable to open the file, I get a "The file type is not supported by Affinity" notification. I'm a Windows 10 user, and I've checked there were no system updates. There was no network involved in the storage either, I used a local disk. I cannot upload the file because it weights over 4GB and is business related. Would a Staff member be able to help? Thanks. Quote
walt.farrell Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Welcome to the Affinity forums, and sorry to hear you're having this problem. As I'm not a staff member I won't be able to help with examining your file. But I wanted to ask for one clarification: You say there was no network involved in storage. That's good, but do you mean there's no cloud service involved at all? In other words, you don't have OneDrive, or Google Drive, or Dropbox, or pCloud, or any other cloud service managing the folder where you saved it, and potentially migrating data off your local disk? Staff NathanC Posted October 31, 2024 Staff Posted October 31, 2024 Welcome to the forums @InfoDA, If you could answer the questions in the FAQ below to the best of your knowledge we can get this logged so the team can look further into what's caused this, but recovery can't be guaranteed nor are we able to provide a timeframe so if you do have any backups available it would be best to revert to them. I've provided a private upload link below for your file. https://www.dropbox.com/request/hnEorrhpKxjoRPmlDmDl Quote
