MassiveMo
When saving an image with multiple image and text layers as a png (with the intent of working on the file another day), reopening the file has the layers uneditable. Same issue if I try to export the file. All the layers show on the image, but not in the layers panel. Would someone please explain what I am doing wrong? NotMyFault
PNG does not support multiple layers. you must store the file in Affinity format, or any other format supporting multiple layers like SVG, PDF, or TIFF. Ldina
@MassiveMo Welcome to the forum. If you want to retain layers and all capabilities, you need to save a "native version" as an afPhoto, afDesign or afPublish file. When you export to most formats, you end up with a flattened file that loses all those layers. So, keep a native copy to re-edit using the Save command, then if you want a JPG or PNG, export to the desired format.
