Affinity publisher - colours problem, when copy objects in new document

Recommended Posts

"I copied the objects into a new document – the color palette fell apart, meaning my Document palette did not copy over. Then I exported and imported the Grad color palette into the new document, but of course, all the links were lost, even though all the colors are global. This is a significant shortcoming and a bug that needs to be fixed urgently. When I copy or import colors into another document, they should remain linked; otherwise, it's a mess and requires a lot of extra work."

When I change dimension of objects, defalt settings should be that all parameters are changing, line wight, shadow and so on, because in 99% this option is case and also same otion of changing dimension in 90% changing dimension is proportional and if i want not proportional, than I use shift or alt

Unfortunately, Document Palettes don't copy over between documents, they are document-specific and while you can create an Application Palette which is common to all documents you can't create Global Colours in an Application Palette...

That should work, i.e., the links to the Global Colours should be maintained, I've just tested that here by creating and assigning a palette of Global Colours to objects and then copying and pasting the objects to a new blank document. Once I export and then import the Global colour Document palette to the new document the colours are still linked...

Now I see why, I lighten the foto and that effect path also, that is wrong

This is because you've added the Brightness/Contrast Adjustment layers by applying them to the Ellipse Icon instead of the Ellipse Layer Name... If you select both the Brightness/Contrast Adjustment layers in your sample file and drag them over the Ellipse Layer Name instead then adjusting the Brightness/Contrast settings won't affect the Brightness/Contrast of the stroke...

The default setting for both Stroke and FX in the Affinity apps is to have Scale with Object unchecked though I think it would be good if there were an option in the Publisher Settings for both to be on or off...

This means when applying a stroke or applying an FX you invariably need to add a checkmark in the respective boxes... I agree that this should perhaps be enabled by default...
