sansnom
🇬🇧 Hi, since we are on a graphic design forum, can we talk about all these colors, the ones that go very well together and harmonize perfectly… and all the others that fight against each other?… I would like to share with you my state of mind concerning this world at war today, that we see and live more or less close to our homes… Here is a storyboard illustrated with an imagined animation: maybe someone among you thinks the same thing and will also be able to implement it… PMH and markw 2 Quote — Mac Mini M2 Pro - 16Go - 512 Go – macOS Sonoma 14.7.1 – BenQ PD2700U UHD 4K —

GarryP
I’m a little bit confused about the message this is giving out. It seems to be saying, to me at least, that the more people from different nationalities mix with each other, the more likely it is that they will go to war. Like some kind of ‘pro-national-segregationist’ message. Plus, as far as I know, mixing coloured lights takes you towards white while mixing pigments takes you towards black/brown, so that’s a bit confusing too. uuxxaa
PMH
yeah that's the message I take away from it, GP. We will not blend together as one; pure n simple. If there was pro nationalist segragationism with full mutual respect for others ... it will never happen. there is healthy nationalism and there is dysfunctional nationalism. world travel is so bland nowadays with McD everywhere u look, petrol stations all lookin the same, shopping malls all lookin the same, pyramids in Las Vegas, KFC in Cairo .... blah blah blah ... the rancid gray stench of the globalisation swamp is rising fast. brilliant work, Sansnom. sansnom
Hi @GarryP, it is clear that my message is open to interpretation. I illustrated a storyboard for an idea that has been running through my mind for many months (if I still had my After Effects license, I would implement this little film...). MIXING paint-type pigments, in equal proportions of course, produces a more or less colored gray, but a shade of GRAY nonetheless. When I see these images of desolation after the (too) many bomb attacks where everything has become GRAY, it reminds me of the MIXING of colors made with paint and where there is no longer any perspective in a great chaos. Now, we know that the interests of governments are multiple, crossed and often contradictory, where their initiatives lose their coherence-logic-morality and where everything finally MIXES. Some use war for political or territorial purposes. My message (very basic) is addressed in thought to the people and the victims, whatever their nationality, and in an attachment to humanism… with in the end an immense affliction… To finish, I am French by birth and not particularly proud of it. I don't care about flags and politicians. But hey, the initial reason for my post was also that maybe someone would take this scenario to make a small video montage. That's all.
