Unable to purchase a license for Designer on my iPad

Recommended Posts

The license I was given from my school just expired and I want to keep using the app as I still had some files I am working on there. However, I am presented with this screen:IMG_0652.thumb.PNG.3bc66bc4639d2db0a6f46b9e252ad967.PNG None of the elements on the screen do anything when being tapped on, and after I tap on the screen a couple of times it brings up a window to check the connectivity.

The report doesn't say anything out of the ordinary.

I tried going to the App Store to buy a license, but it opens up the app and presents the same screen. I am on the latest update on all 3 Affinity apps. Offloading and trying to buy the license doesn't work either, since it is an in-app purchase. I also tried purchasing through the website, but it opens the App Store.

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

Try this:

  • Fully close the app. (That is, drag up from the bottom of the screen to get the view of active apps, then drag that one up and off the screen.)
  • Tap on the app to start it again. When you get the Splash screen, quickly double-tap it with one finger.
  • You should get a dialog to Clear User Data. The last option in the list will Deactivate your V2 license. Choose it, and tap Reset.
  • With luck, you will then get an option to purchase.

Thank you! Just to make sure, is there possibility this will delete the files that were on my homepage? I haven't saved some of them as afdesign files yet so I was worried.

There shouldn't be any risk of that as far as I know. But probably make sure none of the other options are checked :)

(Or wait for someone from Serif to confirm.)
