Paragraph and Character panel style lists don't show plus sign for style override

Recommended Posts

We missed this little regression introduced with the refactoring of the paragraph and character panels in 2.5.

Regression (left screenshot)

  1. Create a frame, type a word, and apply a paragraph or character style - example Body
  2. Select a range of text and override the style - example 24 pt - the panel will not show the plus sign to indicate the override although it appears in the Context Toolbar and Text Styles panel. I believe it did prior to 2.5. I no longer have 2.4 but 1.10 shows the + sign.

Existing issue (right screenshot)

  1. Create a frame, type a word, and apply a paragraph or character style - example Body
  2. Position the cursor at the end of the word and override the style - example 24 pt - same as above except for the Text Styles panel which won't show + Font size: 24 pt. This is the way it has always worked, I confirmed it in 1.10. It won't show the override until I type a character. This is inaccurate because it should always show the attributes at the cursor position.
