Look at the transform panel. By mistake you have used „shear“ while having both layers selected. This can happen if you use pen or touch and drag at the trigger point for shear (edge middle handle).

reset shear to zero, then all will behave normal. Unfortunately this will distort the shapes.

Another option is to use „cycle selection box“ and „set selection box“. This hides the issue and avoids shear back, but maybe does not fully solves it.

Thank you @NotMyFault I just drew two lines, and I tried to group them. That is it. I did not shear anything. As you see on my video the two lines are separated and there is no option to shear a line! when I select the two lines, it shows that together they have shear!! I don't understand why that happened by itself! To me, it is absolutely a bug.

Thanks for checking my file and finding the two solutions.

I did exactly what I did to the two lines to make a video, but the problem didn't appear again!

Neither do I. Whenever you observe something strange, please immediately save a copy of the file with „save history“ enabled, as a new file „save as“. This will allow us to check the history to find which step caused the issue.

If you continue editing, or don’t save the history, it becomes almost impossible to identify the cause.

Most probably you had the cmd key pressed while dragging a node - this will activate sheer.

It is a bit tricky. You activate shear when you click-hold-then-drag perpendicular to the edge in the vicinity of the middle edge nodes. So it can happen by accident. I had a hard time to use this gesture intentionally

Thank you so much for your help and for explaining the problem @NotMyFault. If that happens again, I will post it here.

Thanks again
