Switch layer states of placed files in Publisher?

Hello!

Say there's a designer/photo file with some layer states embedded in Publisher. Is it possible in Publisher(!) to choose the layer state of that file?

I would have expected the state to show up in the context toolbar of the embedded file, but nope.

The idea is to have one designer file with multiple design options, embedded multiple times in Publisher, and toggle the desired state for every occurrance there.

@Tupaia With an embedded Designer/Photo file a possible workflow is to edit it within Publisher to then switch the states using the States panel.
