Rick Granick
New user here. I'm using Affinity Designer v. 2 on a Mac M1 desktop in Mac OS13. When moving my wireless mouse to move the cursor from one area of the artboard to another, it often causes the artboard to move around within the overall Designer window. Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks! Rick Granick
Ron P.
Welcome to the forums @Rick Granick It should require a combination of holding down the Spacebar + Left Click and drag. The Spacebar is a toggle for the View tool (Hand). If you already have the View Tool selected, then just holding down the Spacebar while dragging your mouse will move the view area (canvas). Ron P.
I don't use Macs, so know next to nothing about them. However there's a lot of posts about problems people are having with Magic Mouse. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=apple+magic+mouse+site%3Aforum.affinity.serif.com&ia=web Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Specifically, how hard it is to avoid accidentally scrolling around a document if your finger just touches the surface & moves sightly. Some users do not have probems with this but others do. So maybe try being very careful not to rest a finger on the touch-sensitive surface when you just want to move the pointer & see if that helps.
