OSX Ventura (13.5.x) - need often second mosuclick (espacilly by selecting tools)....

Recommended Posts

I dont know why, and its not really a bug... its just an nasty RANDOM missbehvior.... AFFINITY tools doese SOMETIMES not react to Mosuse-click/mouse declick/over...

I think most AFFINITY is coded, to react JUST by mouseover (after click) ????

BTW: What is the advantage to "behave" so, id do not see any "advantage".... instead CLICK and beome visual response...????

However, sometimes i get another TOOL with one click(Mouseover) and sometimes not... so i have to clck a second time (and moseover) to select/see... this TOLL is now selected....

Thats really, really nasty!

Sry, i didnt fin a BUG-report SUB... i hope Affinity Support & Questions sub is the right SUB for such questtions???? (If not, sry for Admin-extra-work... forgive me... but please give me a ANCHOR for sending stuff this! Thank ya!)

And BTW: LOT of your v1  tool-icons wehre (at least for me) better... to Seperate/difference... from other icons... . (cyan tool/circle... vs black rectangel & black select-quader....), the gradient icon... vs the fdlood fill-.. its all look so same/by accident ranopmly  change....) For me, the old icons where better (others mabe prefares the new onest....) .. so, why no OPTION... in preferences i pfrefer  the OLD icons...????

And also: in V1 there was a MORE CONTRAST betwenn selectd/ not selectect in TOOLS and other "options"... Well, i understand your "beuaty-Qeuen" intention... but PLEASE not of cost of reedable... why not a a half.transparent lyer or are red line.... as indicator.... there are so many ways.... without extra CPU....? Please NO apple gui whre the transperency follows the mouse... andt CPU has to re-calcultated such GIMMICKS... please no FANCY GIMMICKS... just SOLID indicators....

And yes: if i "finally" have after HOURS: my tools, my studio.-views, my shortys, my menue-bar... all this stuff... i want to save/recieve to antother compi... i want this in ONE "-AP-my-def-file"... My macros/brushes/my assets/... all this stuff which maybe needs EXTERNAL special stuff (to save HDD...)... ok, for this  stuff, i have to per hand... but JUST the internal settings... PLIST or however ist called in Winows... yeah, this stuff i want in ONE Mastert-file! Please, please, please.!!!

If you're talking about the Tool icons in the Tools panel (typically sign the left-edge of the workspace) some of the icons represent groups of tools. You can tell they're a group of tools but the tiny white disclosure triangle on the lower right corner of the icon.

If that's what you're talking about then:

1. A single short click on the center of the icon should select the tool that is currently shown.

2. A longer click on the center of the icon or a click on the white triangle should give you the group fly out to select a different tool.

3. Or, in V2 you can click on the icon and drag down/right to get the fly out and select your tool.

All of this may depend to some extent on what kind of pointing device you're using, and whether you can accurately click without slightly dragging unintentionally.
