Crashing on older iPad

Recommended Posts

Hello. I am creating 80 pages of detailed illustrations using mostly Publisher 2.5.4 (and a little Designer) on a 6th Generation iPad. It started crashing a lot and now it almost immediately crashes when I open the document. I read on the Affinity website that “M1-equipped models are recommended for more memory-intensive design.” I am attributing the crashing to it being on an older iPad and considering buying a newer iPad. My document is 124.9 MB, so I am wondering if that is considered “memory-intensive.” I also noticed that older versions of my document were a few MBs more, so I was confused as to why the file size would be decreasing as I add to the document. Thank you. Best. Lydia

Welcome to the Affinity forums, @LydiaJones, and sorry to hear you're having problems.

That doesn't sound like a particularly large or memory-intensive document to me, but I don't know much about the specs for your iPad.

You should be getting crash reports. Perhaps one of them would reveal something about the cause of the crashing:
