  • "Convert to curves" button should be grayed out or disappear once the conversion is done - right now there is no way to quickly assess whether the conversion took place or not - until you re-select the path - then "Curve" appears in the top properties toolbar on the left.
  • Importing assets - doesn't seem to work on my system
  • Dropdown menus - it would be nicer if they were aligned to the left in my opinion - just personal UI preference :)

Great work! Thank you!

Hi Arnolfini,, welcome to the Forums

  • When converting to curves you can also tell it has changed as the layer type in the layer tab will also change to say curves. Depending on what tool you have selected youcan also use one of the modifier to quick swith to the node tool to see if there are any node present. Beyond this I'm not sure how to make it more obvious
  • The import/exporting of assets is something we are aware of so hopefully we'll get this sorted.
  • The drop down menus are the same as what is in the Mac version, but as you said this is ore personal preference for you

Thanks

Hi Chris,

I do realize that layer type changes :) And I do realize that I can switch to node tool to see if the conversion took place. However, the top bar indicates otherwise: the "convert to curves" is still there, and you still have, for example "Rectangle" in the properties bar at the top. Watching some videos on Mac version of Affinity Designer I noticed that once the conversion took place the "convert to curves" button disappears and designer switches to "node" mode which seems sooooo natural :)

Thank you :)
