  1. I added my own preset for rectangle. When I left-click it in preset manager, it cannot be selected (at least there is no visual feedback) and "Rename preset"/"Delete preset" buttons are greyed out. I can delete it by right-clicking - the preset context menu appears, the preset is highlighted in blue. It's a minor problem, probably easy to fix. Or, possibly, I am doing something wrong Affinity Designer 1.9.2.1035; Windows 8.1
  2. Yes - the GPU names are from "preferences/renderer". No, I am not using WARP - with WARP the CPU load is dramatic - 70-80%. Anyway, I forgot to say how much I appreciate all you efforts - great job
  3. Hoped things will improve with version 1.7 - not a big deal, but still... Idle CPU load with rectangular marquee (white RGB/8 A4/300 dpi image): Photoshop CS6 (64 bits) - less than 1% (0.8?) GIMP 2.10 (32 bits) - less than 1% (0.5?) Paint NET 4.1.6 (64 bits) - less than 1% (0.5?) Affinity Photo 1.7.367: NVIDIA Gforce GTX 850M- 12 - 13% Affinity Photo 1.7.367: Intel HD Graphics 4400 - 12 - 15% Intel i7-4510U, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 850M 4GB, Windows 8.1
  4. I reset everything. Restarted AD (RC .36). Still, when I try to dock "character" and "paragraph" panels together, the "paragraph" settings shrink to unusable strip. See the screen capture https://youtu.be/zIkUDxsOFPY
  5. In "Grid and snapping Axis" "Advanced" button is 'permanently' pressed - no advanced options, however, are visible/accessible (I am comparing it to Mac version). I guess the feature is missing in beta :) Edit: My mistake; you have to unmark the "Use automatic grid" :(
  6. And the menus in Mac version seem also to be left not right aligned :) I haven't got the Mac version but, again, judging by publicly available videos, they do look different on Mac and Windows. See the screenshot. Ahttps://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0bzu0y7wLxrbHBESmV4SmdhbTQ/view?usp=sharing A.
  7. Hi Chris, I do realize that layer type changes :) And I do realize that I can switch to node tool to see if the conversion took place. However, the top bar indicates otherwise: the "convert to curves" is still there, and you still have, for example "Rectangle" in the properties bar at the top. Watching some videos on Mac version of Affinity Designer I noticed that once the conversion took place the "convert to curves" button disappears and designer switches to "node" mode which seems sooooo natural :) See the attached screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0bzu0y7wLxrRUhIWHpiM0ZuUDA/view?usp=sharing Thank you :) A.
  8. "Convert to curves" button should be grayed out or disappear once the conversion is done - right now there is no way to quickly assess whether the conversion took place or not - until you re-select the path - then "Curve" appears in the top properties toolbar on the left. Importing assets - doesn't seem to work on my system Dropdown menus - it would be nicer if they were aligned to the left in my opinion - just personal UI preference :) Great work! Thank you!
