Andy81le Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Hi there, Thanks for making the Affinity Beta available to the public. As a recent user of drawplus, I was looking forward to using these files (.dpp) in affinity designer as well. Unfortunately, .dpp are not supported currently. Hence my question/request: Would it be possible to implement import of drawplus files into Affinity Designer? Cheers
Staff MEB Posted June 30, 2016 Staff Posted June 30, 2016 Hi Andy81le, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) As far a i know there's no plans to support dpp files. Have you tried to export the files as PDF and import them into Affinity Designer? Andy81le 1 A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted June 30, 2016 Staff Posted June 30, 2016 Hi, Sorry - DrawPlus (.dpp) files are a legacy format and we will never support them directly in Affinity. That said, you can certainly export from DrawPlus as SVG or PDF - and Affinity will happily import those files, often without much / any loss.. Thanks, Andy. Andy81le 1
Andy81le Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Hi, I thought it would make it easier to preserve layers, etc.. Didn't know this was a legacy format. Thanks for the quick responses, I will try how the .svg and/or pdf imports work. Cheers, Andy
