brush not full strength

Recommended Posts

Hello, firstly I needed to open another account due to email address dramas 🥵 so I have lost all my forum history which is just a minor hiccup atm
Not idea if you need to know that

For awhile I have not been getting a full strength brush . Opacity of 100 I need to brush 4 or more times with a standard Ap 128 round brush
top brush line in the SS is one pass . Bottom one is 4 (I think)
I'm sure it's an easy fix

Also worth checking the Dynamics tab in the brush editor:

With the above setting I get the same effect. Not saying that's the definite reason, but worth checking out as your General settings seem to preclude Wet Edges or Blend Mode being modified.

Could you also post a screenshot of your fully expanded Layers panel to display the layer that you're working on?

Modified my question about layers.

Affinity Photo 2.5.3,  Affinity Designer 2.5.3, Affinity Publisher 2.5.3, Mac OSX 14.5, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel.

Thank you for the quick replies --- another real reason to like Affinity 🤗

Blend mode was normal ; not sure if I have ever changed that (??) . Wet edges off.

The embarrassing part ; turn Ap on to check blend mode and brush is working perfectly like a good brush should --- never changed a thing, even had the same brush active

I have had a few PC dramas ; basically had the system rebuilt ; put my toys back together ; had some more big dramas (hence new email 😭) so now putting all the toys back together again . In amongst all that I'm trying to get my head around an On1 trial as a replacement for Lr5 --- they are running distant second at the moment 😏

So perhaps put this thread away while I do some edits

Cheers
