My presets keep changing

Recommended Posts

I make a preset 17.25x8.75 and save it, I create another that is 8.625x8.75 and it makes all the other flip, my 17.25x8.75 is now 8.75x17.25. When I go to change it back to 17.25x8.75 it flips my new one (and all the other presets) to 8.75x8.625. I know I can toggle between landscape and portrait, but I don't want to do that. I just want to click on my preset and go.

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

The orientation of all the document presets is controlled by the Portrait / Landscape icon at the top of the list, on the right just below the Search bar.

Many users don't like this V2 approach to managing the Presets.

You can't - That's how they are designed to work. As Walt said, many people don't like it!

Basically, you need to adjust your workflow, I think. If you're wanting a different orientation or present than the last time you used File > New, then:

1. Choose an orientation at the top of the list.

2. Pick the Preset you want.
