Updated on my laptop (RAZER BLADE ADVANCED 2021) and now the application fails to start.  It says Loading fonts among other things in the splash window.  The main application window is shown.  Then everything just closes down.

I have uninstalled / reinstalled/ turned the computer off and on! :) Not sure if they're any crashlogs to share.

Thanks for sending those over @ukcarioca,

We've debugged your reports but unfortunately these reports give no clear indication of a fault within the apps causing this crash. It could be an issue relating your local Windows environment, and/or possibly drivers. Could you try the following for me first to help rule out OpenCL/local app data issues:

- Ensure that Windows is fully up to date and any pending updates are installed, reboot and try again.

- Launch the app with 'Hardware Acceleration' disabled by following the below:

  1. Hold down CTRL and launch Designer while still holding CTRL
  2. A 'Clear user data' menu will prompt, tick 'Disable Hardware Acceleration'
  3. Press 'Clear' and the app will now launch
  4. See if the app remains open when you don't have a file open, and if it does try creating a new doc to confirm if it works or crashes when creating a new doc

- Press WIN + R to bring up 'Run' and enter in the following: %USERPROFILE% In this folder you should see an '.affinity' folder, rename it to '.affinityOLD' and start the app again.
