DavidRL Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 I'm asking as I assume it's possible because it's built into the Zorin OS 17 Pro version. I'm completely new to Linux, one day into the experience, so in my dotage it's quite a brain churner. Any help would be appreciated, but remember I'm old, dazed and confused🤔 Quote
firstdefence Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 Affinity apps aren't installed in the pro version David, they list the affinity apps and say there are alternatives to them. Because Zorin is a linux distro Affinity can't be installed because Affinity doesn't have a linux version. There are a few posts on Affinity in Linux but as far as I am aware nobody has yet succeeded in getting Affinity to run. walt.farrell Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 Welcome to the Affinity forums. The Affinity applications are only supported and installable on Windows, macOS, and iPadOS. There are some topics where users are discussing how to get them installed on Linux (e.g., using Wine or a VM). You should probably find one of those topics and inquire there. The Zorin Help shows these graphics applications, for example, and what Zorin replaces them with: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
