Andreas S Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 I stumble over some problems when working on a document with facing pages on screen and bleed defined on all 4 sides: the bleed on the inner side is invisible and cannot be filled (you can notice this only when creating the document with "facing pages" set. If you start without this option you also have the master pages as single pages and bleed works on all 4 sides). Anyway if you export to PDF afpub adds part of the left page as bleed to the right page (see Bleed_Sample1.pdf). When "facing pages" are switched off the bleed shows correct (see Bleed_Sample2.pdf). It is an easy workaround to switch "facing pages" off before exporting, but this splits your master pages in two single pages irreversible. Old Bruce Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 I think this is how it is supposed to work. Meaning that I don't see anything unexpected to my eye. Also just a note Try not to use the same name for different Master Pages. "neues Kapitel A4" is doubled. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Andreas S Posted June 3, 2024 Author Posted June 3, 2024 Hi Old Bruce, what was unexpected to me is in Bleed_Sample1.pdf Page 3. The bleed contains the content of Page 2. The double names are a result of switching of "facing pages". Afpub separated the Master page covering the whole layout page in two single sided pages and kept the same name for both of them. Quote

Andreas S Posted June 4, 2024 Author Posted June 4, 2024 Hi Outfi, thanks - this thread shines some light on the topic. Oufti 1 Quote
