garrettm30 Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 In the Character Studio, Typography section, the tooltip for the “Show Typography Panel” button (last button in that section, the one with an ellipsis) should probably now be worded “Show Typography Studio,” or perhaps simply “Typography.” The latter option is consistent with the Character and Paragraph buttons that show up in the contextual toolbar and open their respective studios. Typography "Panel" is correct for the collection of Typography settings which comprises one panel in the Studio (or can be undocked from the Studio completely). garrettm30 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. garrettm30 Posted May 24, 2024 Author Posted May 24, 2024 Walt, you just blew my mind. I have been using Publisher since its first public beta in June 2019, and 1.6k posts later, I find out I have been using the wrong terminology all this time. A quick search reveals you are correct. walt.farrell Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 It may not help, but they referred to the panels as "studios" in the iPad applications in V1. I think that's fixed in V2 (but I haven't done much checking). That does help make me feel a little better. I have Publisher 1.10 for an unrelated reason, and I notice that there all of the panels are in the “Studio” submenu, and selecting one pops up the panel outside of what I now know to be the proper studio, so that perhaps led me to believe that the Studio submenu was a list of studios. walt.farrell 1 Quote
