Hi, I bought affinity pac from affinity web site, trying to update v2, but when I push check for updates from app, comes up... update error affinity 2 photo can't be updated if it's running from the location it was downloaded to.. any suggestions? Thanks

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

It sounds like you are using macOS, and that you're running the application directly from the DMG rather than installing it.

With the DMG open, drag the application icon into the Applications icon. Then close the DMG, and optionally delete it.

As Walt has mentioned, this usually indicates the Affinity apps have not been installed correctly.

My colleague has previously covered the installation method in the below thread - although for Affinity V1, the same procedure can be used for Affinity V2:

Once installed using this method, you should find this error message does not appear during the next update.
