rikkarlo2 Posted May 10, 2024 Posted May 10, 2024 I've found a bug in the maximum/minimum filters in affinity photo V2 for windows in case of png with alpha channel. The first image is how affinity apply the maximum filter onto a PNG image with an alpha channel. The second one is how it should work. I realized the second image by filling the background with black and merging the original image with it, then I applied the maximum filter to the image. This solves the coloured glitches at the edges of the leaves however it loses the alpha channel, so to reintegrate the alpha I reapplied the filter to the original png with the same radius, and then I've imported the alpha channel to the image with black background. Staff NathanC Posted May 13, 2024 Staff Posted May 13, 2024 Hi @rikkarlo2, I'm not seeing this unexpected colouration on the transparent PNG samples i've used so far. Could you provide a copy of the original PNG prior to applying the filter so I can take a look and confirm it's reproducible? Could you also advise if you're using the live or destructive version of the filter that would be great. Many thanks Quote
rikkarlo Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Hi, unfortunatelly I've trashed the image but I observed the same behavior with several cutout pictures from photos downloaded from the web. I'm using the distructive filter. As soon as I'm in front of a pc I'll try to replicate it again and update the thread here. NathanC 1 Quote
