  1. I have a RTX 470 mobile on a dell xps with an i9 and windows 11, all driver up to date, I deactivated open CL acceleration and tried to set up the RTX graphic card or the Iris integrated card but neither of these solutions worked for me, it always crashes when I zoom in and zoom out fast in a 16k x 16k file. any solution for this? it makes impossible to work
  2. I understand it's an old post but maybe someone will come here searching for the solution and I thought it might have been nice to write it down for you. You actually can warp multiple layers now with the live filters: live filters-> distort-> mesh warp
  3. Thank you very much, is it possible to know the level of priority that this issue has? Because to me this is quite an important one and fairly easy to fix, and I'm quite surprised it is still not solved after all these years! best, Riccardo
  4. Hi everyone, I'd like to bring back a bug report that has been totally ignored since 2021, which I think is urgent and deserves to be discussed. Below you can find two very old threads talking about it. to summarize: the white balance tool is not working properly for non-raw files both in the develop persona and in the photo persona (through the adjustment layers). -what the tool should do: colour pick a pixel and equalize the RGB values to convert the colour of the pixel to a neutral grey (RGB values equal to each other) then apply the same RGB shift to the whole image. -what the tool really does: in develop persona with a raw file it works properly, when used on tiff, png, jpg (etc.) it does not work. What we observed: -the sliders in the develop persona with a raw file open are called "temperature" and "tint" and both of them are properly moved automatically when using the white balance tool, in this case it works properly; -however in the photo persona (white balance adjustment layer) they are called "white balance" and "tint", and only the "white balance" slider move when colour picking the image, we don't see why they should be called and behave differently since it is the same tool that already works properly for raw files in the develop persona. A possible way to fix the bug: -just apply the same rule applied for raw files (in the develop persona) also to non-raw files (both in the develop persona and photo persona adjustment layers). kind regards: Riccardo
  5. 2.1.1 still nothing. C'mon guys... this is a critical one, you should put it up on the list as soon as possible in my opinion! Otherwise, how in the world photografers can calibrate their photos properly, white blanace is the first step in most of photo editing workflows!
  6. thanks, I checked the hardware acceleration is disabled already. BTW I added a new crash report in the correct section of the forum (yes it was V2) Thanks everyone
  7. When I zoom by pressing ctrl + mouse wheel, or by pressing space+ ctrl and left click, I experienced several crashes while working on a jpg picture (3000x3000pxl more or less ) captured with my smartphone (google pixel 6). Before the crash the operations I performed where liquify, change exposure and contrast in develop persona, but the crases happened when I returned in the photo persona a fiew minutes after the previous operations right after I've used the clone stamp or patch. it does not happen as soon as I open the file, only after a while I'm working (like 5 or 10 minutes). might it be connected with some sort of flooding of the histiry or the ram? I can't attach an example file because it happens very often (this morning it happened 5 times with 5 different files, and it also happenend before very often, it happened also with version 1, in version 1 I experienced crashes while selecting and while zooming) Both my GPU drivers and affinity itself is updated at the latest version. I have windows 11 with a Nvidia RTX2060, 32 GB ram, and an i7 processor 10th gen (my pc is the MSI GS66 stealth) hardware acceleration based on OpenCL is disabled. I attached the last crash report I found in the folder C:\Users\....\.affinity\Photo\2.0\CrashReports\reports But I'm not sure if it's the correct one since the date is not correct. 11c296fd-f39e-4269-acaa-81655aefd96b.dmp
  8. I have the same problem, it crashes randomly at zoom and video drivers are updated yesterady
  9. Hi all, I go straight to the point: when I select with the poligonal selection tool and I pan (while being very zoomed in) sometimes the graphical polygon that indicates the lazo disappear, it reappears a few seconds later, and it does that on and off untill I close the selection. The command works but it's a bit hard to control since you are doing it blind folded half of the time.
  10. Why don't just allow to right click the mask layer and make the "rasterize to pixel layer" do the trick? I feel like it is too cumbersome to make such a complex procedure for such an easy task...
  11. ok that's totally understandable, keep us updated possibly thanks!
  12. Thanks for your effort and checking it with developers. I totally agree with zezula, most of the times I do not even go into the develop persona because I only work with digital renderings which do not even have the raw file in the first place. So the tool I would like to be working to balance the white is the one into the photo persona. To sum up, I didn't get if it will be fixed or not, what's the outcome of your meeting?
  13. so it's still not working properly 🤣... Damn
