Designer - corner tool maximum radius

Recommended Posts

Windows 11, latest updates, Affinity Designer 2.4.2

I was using the corner to round off some shapes but the maximum radius in the document is fixed at the same amount for all the shapes irrespective of size, to the (apparently arbitrary) value of 168.6mm.  The illustrations below show the same maximum radius applied to 3 different objects.  It is not possible to increase the radius beyond this value.

Taking a simple sufficiently large rectangle in a new document and using the corner tool also results in the same maximum radius of 168.6mm.

Is it possible to have a larger radius?  What am I missing here?

At 96 ppi, 168.6 mm is 638 px (i.e. 2 px less than 640 px). Maybe that means something, or not!

Affinity internally uses pixel as its unit of measure. The maximum corner radius seems to be 1991.1 px, and that is equivalent to 168.6 mm when PPI is 300.
