Hi @Martin S Taylor,

Thanks for your report and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. Our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here, we have been exceptionally busy following our Canva acquisition announcement which has temporarily increased our response time. We're working hard to stay on top of things, so we thank you for your patience and understanding here.

I can see from your crash report provided that this crash appears to be due to Affinity::CloudServices::Content , which is the 'My Account' dialog feature of downloading and installing add-on kits within the Affinity apps.

We've not previously seen this cause crashing in Affinity when the app is not in use, therefore I will be logging this with our content syncing team for further investigation.

In the meantime, we might be able to stop these crashes from occurring by resetting the app back to default settings, removing any custom installed content.

You can find out more about resetting the app back to default settings here -

Once you have exported any custom content you wish to keep, launch the apps and hold down the CTRL key whilst the app loads. In the Clear User Data dialog, I'd recommend ensuring that all of the All Affinity 2 apps options in the second category are selected, as well as the Deactivate Affinity 2 apps option.

After ticking these and selecting Clear, the app will then launch and prompt you to sign in with your Affinity ID to activate the apps. You can then return to My Account and reinstall any of your purchased add-ons, as required.

Having completed these steps, do you find this crashing of the Affinity apps in the background stops? :)

The issue "[Crash Report] macOS apps crash whilst in the background (ie not in use) with relation to "Affinity::CloudServices"" (REF: AF-2698) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.5.0.2430".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
