Can pre-V2 of Affinity suite be uninstalled?

Recommended Posts

The V1 and V2 installations are completely separate and changing/removing one should not affect the other.

Make sure you have made a backup of any important assets, palettes, and other things before you uninstall.

Note: Even if you do find yourself needing V1 back then you can reinstall it again from wherever you installed it before.

In addition to Garry's comments I would recommend waiting till after first launching the v2 editions before removing the v1’s, as v2 will ask if you want to migrate stuff over to them that you may have added to the v1’s.
When deleting the v1’s I would also recommend using an app like, at least on Macs, AppCleaner, as it will not only delete the apps themselves but also look through your hard drive for the v1 support folders which, depending on what you may have added to the apps over time, can measure into the Gigabytes of storage space used.
AppCleaner will present you with a list of what it has found which you can verify/edit before it removes what it’s found.

Mark:

Thanks for your answer also.  I've been using the V2 editions since they came out and I installed them.  I don't recall right off-hand but I would have migrated stuff to V2 that I had in V1.  And if I didn't for some reason, I have got brushes, etc., that I can put back in V2 should I want to.

I'm on Win10 Pro (I refuse to go to Win11), so the Mac AppCleaner doesn't apply to my situation but would be useful for others to know.

Thanks for your reply!
