Aritstrybycg Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 How do you create different grids in Affinity without doing things ridiculously hard? I'm not talking about the grid in the background. Yes, I know the hard way of doing it, but there's got to be a much easier way. I like to make a grid and then use a combine tool, which I guess is "Shape builder tool" in Affinity, to make logos. I attached a picture of some of the different grid types if you don't know what I'm talking about. How about an easier way to make/have Fibonacci squares/spiral/Circles aka golden ration squares/spiral/Circles? Anyone know how to do that in the least painful possible way? If you know a process let me know and if you know a process on the iPad app too (if it's different) on how to do it there too. Staff Lee D Posted April 9, 2024 Staff Posted April 9, 2024 @Aritstrybycg Apart from the available options on the Grid & Axis window or manually creating them. Your other option would be to source them as individual files and place them in the document and use as an overlay. This workflow would be the same in the desktop and iPad versions of the apps. Quote
iconoclast Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 There is at least a Fibonacci Spiral option in the Spiral Tool (Shape Tool, at the bottom of the list). Don't know if you noticed it. You will find the Fibonacci option in a drop down menu in the context bar of the tool. Nice tool, this Spiral Tool. Aritstrybycg 1 Quote
