SGould
I have a MacBookPro 9,2 with El Capitan, 16GB RAM and 32 GB of free space. I purchased Affinity Photo two days ago. I have opened a JPG photo but am unable to do anything with it, as I cannot select any of the tools. The hand (top tool) seems to be permanently selected. Clicking on any of the other tools does nothing. I have followed the instructions in various tutorial videos without any luck. Help! How can I select tools, such as the eraser? This is very frustrating. Thanks - Stan Gould.
Staff Callum Posted May 3, 2016 Staff Share Posted May 3, 2016 Hi SGould, Welcome to the Forums! Please could you make sure that the Layer you are using isn't locked in your Layers tab at the righthand side of the program. Clicking the padlock icon should unlock your layer :) Hope this helps C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. R C-R
Also make sure that a layer is selected in the Layers panel when trying to use any of the other tools, & for tools that affect pixels that a pixel (not image, curve, or shape) layer is selected.
