Strange vignette filter on vertical raw file

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I use Affinity Photo 2.4 on macOS 13.6.5.
When I add a vignette filter on a vertical raw file, the vignette is not centered on the image!
The same filter works perfect on horizontal raw file...
Does anyone have the same behavior?
Thank you for your help!

Same here. I'm on a MacBook Pro using OS 13.6.5 and see the same thing on vertical RAW images. Interestingly, I rasterized the RAW file after bringing it into the Photo Persona (without the vignette). Then, I went back to the Develop Persona and adding a Vignette is properly centered.

I never noticed before because I never use the post crop vignette feature in the Develop Persona. I usually don't do a lot in the Develop Persona and do most of my work in the Photo Persona.

It's not something I've used before in the Develop persona but yes I get the same result as you with Portrait orientated photos. Got to be a bug!

@markw I agree...this looks like a bug. It only happened with the RAW file I tried in the Develop Persona. When using it on a rasterized file in the Develop Persona, it was properly centered. (FWIW, the Photo Persona Vignette allows you to control the shape or the vignette too, so it's a bit more flexible.)
