Exporting png to Windows 11 looks dull

Recommended Posts

In Affinity Photo, my image looks like this:

Then I export it as PNG (CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-S) using these settings:

and then when I open it in Windows default app, it looks like this:

Before upgrading to version 2.4.0 (then I had 2.3.0) a similar png file looked a lot better. You can even see it directly in windows explorer (vfk1 was exported using version 2.3.0 and vfk2 version 2.4.0 (pls ignore vfk2.afphoto)):

When I open vfk2.png in Affinity Photo again, it looks fine, but when I open it in any other app, it looks like the dull, grey one above.

Is it a bug in version 2.4.0 or have I missed something in the export settings?

Original photo is an HDR photo merged from 5 photos.

Newer mind! Affinity Photo uses RGB 32-bit

The monitor must support HDR (32 bit) . You can use dxdiag (Ctrl+R > dxdiag) to see whether this is supported.
