I have a shape that I need to make a solid version of, it is made of eight groups of two shapes and formats something like a flower shape - see file. I need s filled version of this and am not familiar enough with AD to know the best way to do this.

Use Geometry add to get one big greenish thing. 

Make a blue rectangle larger than the big green thing, move that blue rectangle below the big green thing. Divide the two shapes, the big green thing and the blue rectangle. Delete the bits you don't want.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
