ericosmosNEW Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 In order to circumvent the constant crashing of my iPad Publisher file I packaged it so I can continue working on it on my Windows System. Annoyingly the package left out one important font (restricted) so when I open the packaged file on the Windows system it got replaced by a random font. I don't see a way to add the font afterwards because the font manager only shows the included fonts and no option to add another font to the package after the fact. One more note here: The Publisher File consists of mainly linked Designer Files in which the missing font has been used. Maybe that is the crux? Quote

Maybe that is the crux? Packaging includes the fonts used directly in the Publisher file. It does not include items referenced within Linked files. This was logged as an improvement request at one point, and has not been implemented as far as I know. At the time of logging, the discussion involved image files linked within linked Designer files, but it probably applies to fonts, too. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=apl-1508 HCl 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. ericosmosNEW Posted February 25, 2024 Author Posted February 25, 2024 Thx for clarifying. Installing all used fonts (of the Designer files) on the local machine fixed it instantly. But being able to include "linked-linked" data into a package file would certainly be a worklow improvement. walt.farrell 1 Quote
