Niko Steensels Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 HI, I'm currently trying to add a text box in photo just to add text. Previously the text box was acting as expected. But for some reason, Photo suddenly fills the box blue instead of the blue thin lines I would have expected. Now, on this forum I have read that in affinity Photo there is no possibility to change the fill of the box, only in Publisher. Could therefor somebody give me a clue of what is going on here? I have included a picture of what is happening. The text box with the date should not be with dark blue, but it happens anyway. The second box is just to show how it looks when I just dragged it in. Btw, the same thing happens with the artistic text frame. This in on Photo version 2.3.1 is going on here? Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 You can change the background color of the text, but you cannot change the Fill of the Text Frame in Photo. And it looks like that's what you would need. You can use Edit > Defaults > Revert while you have the frame selected, which may take care of it for you. After that you may also need Edit > Defaults > Save. Niko Steensels Posted February 5, 2024 Author Posted February 5, 2024 Thanks very much, that indeed did the trick👍. But then my next question, how did I manage to change these settings, as it was something which I didn't do consciously...? Quote

Do you have any other Affinity applications? Or have you copied/posted text from some other application? Niko Steensels Posted February 5, 2024 Author Posted February 5, 2024 I have the full suite, but wasn't actively using the others at the time it happened. As far as I can remember I didn't copy a text from somewhere else, but I can be mistaken. I had a group which consisted of a text and a blue filled rectangle serving as a back ground filler, in which I did some stuff but apart from that, I'm not sure. Can Affinity copy these values inadvertently to the settings of the text frame tool? Quote

In Other you'd do it using the Text Frame panel.
