Hallo zusammen,

Hello everyone,

I have a problem when importing DNG files with invasive blue colors. I export my images as unprocessed originals from Apple Photos. These are saved in the Display P3 color profile.

When I open an image in Affinity Photo 1, the colors are displayed correctly, when I open an image in Affinity Photo 2, blue becomes magenta. The screenshot shows the import with Affinity Photo 2 on the left and the import with Affinity Photo 1 on the right.

How can this be and how can I fix it?

I have reinstalled both programs and have not made any adjustments to the settings or the RAW engine.

If I change the RAW engine to Apple, it only has a marginal effect.

There were former known issues with ICC profile handling in APh v2.x versions, which have been (partly ?) addressed in v.2.3.0. But it's possible that this hasn't been yet taken into account or checked for DNG imports. - So if you can constantly reproduce that behavior (with whatever cam DNG file) you should file in a bug report here.

@FotoWaX So you shoot pictures with your iPhone in Apple ProRAW, import it in Apple Photo, export it from there as DNG and process the DNG in APh?

Why dont you procees the RAW file directly in APh?

From Apple Photo, the images can only be opened as JPEG and not as DNG. I don't know any other way than to save them as unprocessed original and open them in APh 2 as RAW.

Why dont you download the pictures from your IPhone directly to your Mac drive? They are saved as DNG. IMHO no need to work with Apple Photo at all.

Or what are you exactly doing???

A direct import from iPhone to mac ist not possible.

?????🤔No Airdrop? Via cable? I did it this way many years before moving away from Mac.

That's why I used an USB cable. The iPhone will be mounted as a drive and then you have access to the folders and can copy the .DNG files to your Mac.

But maybe this is really an Apple/Mac issue. I  have no problems with RAW files from my iPhone 13Pro in Windows and APh 2.3.
