Icons do not change in masking mode

Hello,

I would like to use AF Photo 2.3 to remove the background from some images. Cropping with the selection brush works quite well to mask the desired object. But the Selection Brush feature still needs some improvements.

I can't get the following problems resolved:

1. The keyboard shortcuts on the Apple Mac mini (M1) with 14.2 to enlarge the brush work, but are always very cumbersome when working. In addition, the brush size is not always displayed with a circle.

2. In masking mode, the key combination for adding and subtracting works. But the display or icons do not change at the top of the display.

In addition, it would be nice if the circle was displayed with a "-" sign on a path where something is subtracted and a "+" sign on a path where something is added.

Hi @deepblue,

If your brush preview does not show a circle it's possible that you have unintentionally toggled the brush crosshair by pressing the CAPSLOCK key, toggling this key again should restore the standard circular brush preview.

Are you referring to the ALT/OPT + Drag Modifier keys to quickly change between adding and subtracting with the selection brush tool? These are just temporary modifier keys to change the function rather than dedicated keyboard shortcut to outright change the mode, so it's expected that the selected mode doesn't update on the interface since you're just using a modifier.
