TanBrae Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 I know I can use the color replacement brush tool. Been there, done that. My issue is this: I frequently work with black and white graphics. Up to this point, my workflow has been to remove white, then invert so the image is white. Then, I go to Adjustment Layer and choose Recolor. This works, except if I need to replace the color with a specific hex color. There is no option, and using the sliders isn't very helpful. Is there something I'm missing, or is there a better way? For my work, using the color replacement brush isn't very quick, so I'm not keen on that option. I guess I'm thinking it would be nice if I could just type in a hex color in the color picker. Quote
NotMyFault Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Assuming you use Photo, and you have pure black / white (not grayscale). add a fill layer and assign color by hex code. rasterize to mask your b/w layer (white takes color, black gives transparency) put mask above fill layer Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
