debraspicher
I don't know what I did to create this monstrosity but I used Pencil Tool if that helps. This is all I did in this file. It also exports the same. Adding pressure variance makes it worse, but it's by no means required to cause a defect. Testing the stroke in other programs does not cause an issue... Staff DWright Posted December 6, 2023 Staff Share Posted December 6, 2023 If you change the start and end node points to Sharpe or Smart you will get better results as you adjust the pressure profile as these nodes have a path curve to them causing the curve to fold in on itself when the pressure is altered. debraspicher

I did play with those endpoints to figure out what maybe happened but there is still one point in middle of the stroke which also produces a defect. In fact, the pressure profile only reveals the defect in full, but it is in fact there at larger sizes. It shows a gap on export near the end point. Also, the end points were generated by the Pencil Tool and I hadn't adjusted the curve when this was created... so this is sort of "out of the box".
