Save metadata as preset in Affinity Photo vs 2

Recommended Posts

When I am editing a series of RAW-files, I start writing metadata to te file, and the make other adjustements.

So far when I have a series of photo's I need to add the same data for each photo separately. I was wondering if it is possible to save some basic info (like contact info, copyright etc..) as a preset that I simply could choose and fill in some extra info when needed.

I could find it, nor a way to copy and paste (like with adjustments in the develop persona)

Thanks

Ben

You can save Metadata (from the Metadata panel) as an XMP file, using the panel's settings menu:

So you could, for example:

  1. Develop one file, update its metadata using the Metadata panel, and Export an XMP file. For example, if your file is going to be Exported as abc.jpg then you could save abc.xmp from that dialog.
  2. When you have Developed the next file, you could use Import from XMP to load abc.xmp, update as needed, then export a new XMP file to match the new file you're going to export.
  3. Repeat that for each file.
