Morgoth
I've attached an image of what I want to achieve as a Test Style. So the only way I can do this so far is with separate text boxes. However, there are quite a few paragraphs and single-sentence instances where I would like to do this. Is there a way to achieve this "format" by creating a Text Style to apply to a paragraph or a single sentence?
thomaso
You can achieve this with a saved Character Style applied to the "First Word". For easier handling / frequent use it may help to activate the Paragraph Style property "Initial Words". – Unfortunately then some of the interface indicators can mislead, even if only those text is selected that got this paragraph property & character style applied. Morgoth
I believe that I am trying to achieve something else. I understand how the "First word" property is used. It's more akin to a "bullet list."
thomaso
Use the Left Indent and the First Line Indent properties of your paragraph style. Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

You can also do it with a Bulleted list but then you need one style per person. Which is better is up to you. Here are test docs showing the options. bulleted.afpubinitial words.afpub Quote Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF My system: Affinity 2.4.2 for macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)
