How to get spelling for South Africa?

Recommended Posts

Have you checked the FAQ to see if it lists any dictionaries for the language you need?

The first post in the FAQ describes where you would install the dictionaries. The second post provides links you can use to download the dictionaries (which are better than trying to download directly from GitHub using the info in the first post).

If you're asking about Afrikaans, you'll need to download the three af_ZA files using the link Walt provided. Don't forget to create an af_ZA folder for the hyphenation dictionary as directed in the instructions - that part is a bit confusing.

If you're asking about English (South Africa) and are on macOS, you already have it. If you're on Windows, download the two en_ZA files. Note that there isn't a separate hyphenation dictionary, Publisher will automatically use the US hyphenation dictionary unless you manually select the UK English hyphenation dictionary.
