Joe S.
Is it possible for a macro to edit text in a text layer, getting custom text from a file name? I'm guessing this is not possible, but you never know 🤷🏽♂️
walt.farrell
No, but in Publisher the Data Merge function allows something like that. I don't understand enough details about what you need to know if it should work for you. Joe S.
Thank you Walt! I own Publisher but haven't used it much (I own all 3 apps on Mac & iPad). I'm planning on selling customized art, using a photo and some text provided by the buyer. I'm mostly curious to see how much can be done with a macro, and expected the text customizing to be an unlikely option. But it's just a single layer with text, and figuring out a data merge after running the macro in Photo might be overkill. Manually editing the text is not onerous, but it would be great to edit & filter the image they provide. walt.farrell
