  1. Thanks - I couldn’t tell if the symbol was a lock or a shopping bag 😆. I’ll export & re-import the brushes. @Paul Mudditt love the Splat set, Frankentoon’s brushes are 🔥🔥🔥
  2. I synced a bunch of brushes from my account to Designer & Photo on iPad. None of the new brushes have the Move option, even if I make a copy. In fact, ‘Save as new brush’ is the only option available on the recently synced brushes. i did reboot my iPad as well.
  3. My work is split between iPad & desktop and I’m running into issues like having a custom palette saved on desktop but not iPad, or having symbols on iPad but not desktop. (I assume this is what Adobe Cloud does but if I wanted to make them rich I wouldn’t be here.) I haven’t found a solution within the apps yet so I’m guessing the best thing I could do is keep a synced Dropbox/iCloud folder with exported items?
  4. I was working with a 7300 x 5600 (150dpi) file in Photo yesterday. Started on desktop, and later switched to iPad where it was sloooooooow when applying raster-based styles to a layer, as well as being slow when exiting to the files view. I’ve used this exact size document before, including the same styles, without it being so bad but I’m wondering about the factors that influence performance. Come to think of it, the file was a copy of another file that worked fine on my iPad. It’s definitely not storage space as my 2018 iPad Pro has 230gb free.
  5. I've never seen it, assuming you mean the movie from the (iirc) '50s?
  6. Thanks, I had no idea what a 'displacement map' was until now, this will be great for mockups.
  7. Thank you, I will check that out today! I've tried using dashed outlines to 'line up' the columns but it takes so many adjustments to get it right. I now see why people don't design too many bucket hats with vertical stripes, I'm not sure it's worth the effort 😆
  8. I'm running into problems trying to warp vertical stripes to a curve, like if you had stripes emanating from the center of a circle and just a slice of the edge was used (image 1). The curve will be printed as the vertical area of a bucket hat (the B section of image 2). For this attempt, I'm using Designer & quad mesh but I've also tried Photo's mesh warp live layer filter; both results still aren't what I'm looking for but I figured that warping vectors would give me more flexibility. What I'm trying to do is make the stripes appear relatively similar in width. It makes sense to angle the edges of the stripes to match the edges of the curve but I have yet to create anything better than what I've shared here. I know that the stripes should be a little narrower at the top of the curve than at the bottom but it just seems off. I did try warping a smaller section that was just the height of the curve, thinking I could angle the sides, drag the middle down and then adjust the nodes but somehow that looked even worse. [EDIT: that was with rasters, and I realized at this vector warp would be easier if the size was closer to the curve's height] Am I using the wrong warp method? Or am I overthinking this?
  9. Thank you! I think I can get by using the fill tool since it allows for easy resizing & adjusting the angle. Is there a benefit to using a pattern layer instead?
  10. I made a repeating pattern, which looks perfect in Designer when using it as a bitmap with the fill tool. In Photo I place the pattern image into a document, select it, and then choose Create Pattern From Selection. It repeats perfectly, except there is an obvious 1 pixel border around the pattern - even though it’s the same file I used with Designer’s fill tool. Does Photo add a border to patterns in a pattern layer by default, or am I doing something wrong?
  11. THANK YOU @MEB! I thought I had tried all the icons but somehow missed that one.
  12. When drawing with a vector brush, as soon as the stroke is completed (ie the Pencil is lifted off the screen), the nodes are immediately visible. Is there any way to disable this so I can just draw without being distracted by nodes?
  13. Thanks Dan! Now that I know how it works I can at least try to avoid the movement.
