Bob Terry Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 What does the + mean beside a text style? In InDesign, it means that the style is altered in some way. And you can correct the problem by overriding. How do you do this in Affinity Publisher 2.2? Quote

Leading, font, Alignment, colour, language etc. there is a little arrow to the left of the name which will expand the area to show all the stuff that has been overridden. You can reset to the original unchanged Paragraph/Character style by hitting the spot (with a T) on the right. Bob Terry Posted October 21, 2023 Author Posted October 21, 2023 Why, thank you. It certainly is not explained anywhere. Quote

Then I began thinking about it, I am sure I came across it by just clicking and experimenting when I first started using Publisher back in its preproduction beta release. So you may well be correct in with that statement. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. MikeTO Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 You're not imagining it, the + is not explained anywhere. The Current Formatting field is mentioned in Help but not the + that is shown in the Current Formatting field at the top of Text Styles, in the Context Toolbar, or in the Text Style fields in the Character and Paragraph panels. I've documented it in the next edition of my manual.
