What does the + mean beside a text style? In InDesign, it means that the style is altered in some way. And you can correct the problem by overriding. How do you do this in Affinity Publisher 2.2?

the + means that you have "overridden" some text characteristics. Leading, font, Alignment, colour, language etc.

there is a little arrow to the left of the name which will expand the area to show all the stuff that has been overridden. You can reset to the original unchanged Paragraph/Character style by hitting the spot (with a T) on the right.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

It certainly is not explained anywhere.

My initial reaction was "Of course it is." Then I began thinking about it, I am sure I came across it by just clicking and experimenting when I first started using Publisher back in its preproduction beta release.

So you may well be correct in with that statement.

You're not imagining it, the + is not explained anywhere. The Current Formatting field is mentioned in Help but not the + that is shown in the Current Formatting field at the top of Text Styles, in the Context Toolbar, or in the Text Style fields in the Character and Paragraph panels.

I've documented it in the next edition of my manual.
