Maxdanger
Hi everyone, I've seen a bit of chatter about the beta versions of V2.2 not working well with MacOS Sonoma and (correct me if I'm wrong) I think these issues have all been ironed out for the public release of v2.2. I've just updated to MacOS Sonoma and I tried launching the apps and each of them took around a minute to load. It appears to be related to granting file access to iCloud as you can see in the below recording. Once each app has eventually opened, they load flawlessly thereafter so this seems to be a one-time event on a new install of Sonoma. Slow load on Sonoma.mp4 Not a massive deal seeing as it's a one time thing but wanted to raise as I can't see any other reports of this. abuhirra 1 Quote 2024 14 inch MacBook Pro M4 Max, 128 GB RAM 2024 M4 iPad Pro 11 inch Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Current Beta versions. Staff Callum Posted September 27, 2023 Staff Share Posted September 27, 2023 Hi Max, Please could you confirm if the apps opened swiftly once you had restarted your Mac? If so then I think this is likely nothing to worry about but thank you for bringing this to our attention. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Maxdanger
Hi Callum, Yes I’ve rebooted and I’ve not experienced this again so agree, nothing to worry about. Inquisitor
I finally installed Sonoma because of the constant reminder that would not go away. Now my apps start slower. Microsoft apps, Adobe apps . . . all of them. I deleted the many files that were in my trash and have lots and lots of empty space on the solid state drive. So what else could be causing these apps to start so slowly?
