wacom touch gestures still not working in RC2 1994 build

Recommended Posts

Still same beta behavior on Intuos Pro (PTH660) on Affinity Designer, pinch/expand = zoom, swipe left does nothing, swipe up and down is zoom (no panning).  2.1 works as intended.  Affinity PHoto 2.2 (1994) still works as intended and same as 2.1.  Will have to disable auto-update so Affinity Designer doesn't automatically update.  :(

Hi Benfischer,

We don't have that model available to us, however we do have a PTH-451 Intuos Pro that also has touch gestures, and these are all working as intended for me in Designer 2.2.0.1994. See attached video.

  • Two finger tap = Right Click
  • Two finger Swipe Left/Right = Pan around the document
  • Two finger Swipe Up/Down =  Pan around the document
  • Two finger Pinch = Zoom in/out
  • Two finger Rotate = Rotate Canvas
  • Two finger double tap = Smart zoom

Are you able to show a video showing the same gestures in Designer 2.1.1 and 2.2 Beta please? Have you tried doing a Ctrl run up with Designer 2.2 Beta?

Well, I think I figured it out. Whether it's a bug or not is up to interpretation.  While testing this, I found that  I had Rotation turned off, so I tried turning it on to see if that would enable the two-finger rotation.  But then everything broke and 2.1 wouldn't work correctly with the multitouch gestures either. Playing around further, I found that checking "Use Mouse Wheel To Zoom" causes the left-right behavior to break.  I guess I turned that on while changing the rotation setting.  I can't say it's a beta thing because it does that on both 2.1 and 2.2.

Sorry for the false alarm
