Affinity Designer 2.1.1

Windows 11

Surface Pro 7+
i5 16GB RAM

When working with high resolution photos for product prints, attempting to copy a group of layers or multiple layers results in Designer freezing. I've attached a sample. If you attempt to copy the "Logo" and "Bottle" groups, the app should freeze.

Hi @XGJ,

I've been able to replicate the freeze by just copying the Bottle group.

The Freeze appears to be related to the Adjustment Layers, if I delete those or Rasterise the layers they are applied to and bake the Adjustment in, I'm able to copy the group and keep working in the file.  I'll get this logged with the Developers, as those steps aren't needed on MacOS, you can just copy that group without issue.

I tried this in the publisher beta 2.2 and it copy pasted just fine.

Just tried that myself and I'm still getting a freeze in the beta of Publisher 2.2 (and Designer 2.2 beta) :(

And I'm not running non-system background apps.
Don't use geforce overlay and have set my ram to 24gb while having 64gb installed.

Well looks like the freeze is caused by having a Clipboard Manager enabled.  For myself, I had Clipboard History enabled in Windows 11, as soon as I disabled that, I was able to copy the group with no problems.

@XGJ, If you can disable Clipboard History in Windows 11 or if you are using a 3rd party Clipboard manager, disable that and you should then be able to copy the group without a freeze.
